The Workshop
The world does not need another psychotherapist.
What the world needs is another great psychotherapist.

Our field is saturated, yet a successful private-pay practice is still possible. The Business of Private Practice teaches you how to turn your value and skills into a successful private practice, without compromising your ethics and professionalism, and without the contortions and limitations imposed by an insurance-based practice.

The Business of Private Practice is a powerful experience.
People walk into each workshop from a variety of backgrounds: students, practice veterans, people with extensive business backgrounds, and others with tremendous anxiety about money and "business stuff."

The workshop is detailed enough to satisfy those who are sophisticated in their knowledge of financial and business matters; yet Jason teaches in a fun, conversational, and easy-to-grasp style that encourages question-and-answer periods, and a lot of comfortable interactivity.

Attendees give consistent feedback — they love it, and leave feeling enriched, empowered, and exhilarated.
You will learn:
Effective, ethical marketing approaches that are appropriate to our field, and to your personal philosophy of treatment. These approaches combine dignity, personal integrity, and creativity with the fundamentals of marketing in our unique field. You will learn how to effectively and inexpensively increase your referral networks, and hear from clients who are motivated to do their work.

The "nuts and bolts" of setting up (or organizing) your private practice, streamlining your procedures and increasing your clients’ privacy. You will learn money-saving, time-saving, and liability-saving techniques which maximize your clinical time, and minimize the burden of running your practice.

How to earn more income, protect your assets, and grow your practice. Working for yourself presents a number of important tasks: saving for retirement, taking care of your own insurance needs, and other growth and management needs. In this section of the workshop, you will gain confidence, valuable tips and resources about how to take care of these needs with the least cost and effort so you can focus on what you do best!
Presentation
Best of all, the workshop is taught by someone who has been there and understands the needs and values of private practice psychotherapists. Jason Seidel has built his own full-time practice based on what he teaches. This is not a workshop taught by some "guru" who is long on inspirational talk, and short on real-world experience.

The workshop is grounded in a love for the work of therapy, and an appreciation of what therapists contribute to our society. Attendees walk away with valuable tools, and with renewed commitment, hope, and a feeling of support that there are others keeping the integrity of psychotherapy alive, and are highly successful doing it!
